From behind the drafting table: We’re a team of professional, specialized consultants with engineering and architectural backgrounds. We’ve been in business for just over two years, but together our group has more than fifty years of combined experience in the field of acoustic and vibration control. Our firm is just the right size to maintain the hands-on style we prefer. And when the scope or scale of a project calls for additional expertise, we also can partner comfortably with appropriate, outside specialists. What ever the size or complexity of the job, we’re players now, and we can handle it. One strange, maybe even humbling aspect of our business is that when we’ve done a job right, all our hard work is or should be imperceptible. When we’ve focused our attention on resolving existing or potential noise and vibration issues of a particular project, our clients shouldn’t have to. For us, a job well done is one that enables our clients to work or live in relative peace and quiet.
Chris Papadimos, Principal Chris is responsible for the overall management of the firm and all major project assignments. He has over 16 years of professional experience consulting in acoustics and vibration both in the USA and abroad. His experience includes numerous projects involving structural noise and vibration, noise and vibration control for mechanical systems, architectural acoustics and environmental noise and vibration. After graduating from UCLA in 1989 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Magna cum Laude, he worked for a number of years for an acoustical consulting firm specializing in environmental studies. Between 1995 and 1998 he was employed by a consulting firm specializing primarily in the design of facilities for advanced technologies. Subsequently, he worked with two nationally recognized acoustical consulting firms, headquartered in New York, reaching the position of Associate Principal prior to starting his own consulting practice in early 2005. Gasper Sciacca, Senior Associate Gasper is a highly experienced acoustic consultant and is a registered architect in multiple states. He performs architectural acoustics and noise control in a wide variety of projects which include hospitality, justice buildings, convention centers, performing arts, corporate and residential venues. Because he is also an architect, he takes a strong interest in the integration and coordination of the technical aspects into the design and creative process. Gasper is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Acoustical Society of America, American Institute of Physics and the Construction Specifications Institute. Fiona Gillan, Senior Associate Fiona has been consulting in acoustics since 1993 in the areas of architectural and room acoustics, environmental noise, and mechanical systems noise and vibration control. She has been a lead acoustic designer on a number of corporate, academic and civic projects while working both in the USA and abroad. She is well versed in acoustical computer modeling and auralizations of spaces used to facilitate client decisions. She has a B.S. degree in Engineering Acoustics and Vibration with Honors from the University of Southampton, ISVR (1988). Andrew Gorton, Associate Andrew has been consulting in building acoustics and vibration since 2000. He has extensive knowledge of dynamic signal processing for acoustic and vibration analyses, as well as experience with both acoustical and structural modeling using commercial software packages. He has a B.A. degree in Acoustics from Columbia College and is currently completing a Masters of Science degree in acoustics, vibration and structural dynamics at the University of Cincinnati. Andrew is a member of The Engineering Honor Society and The International Mechanical Engineering Honor Society. Roman Wowk, Associate Roman has been consulting in acoustics and vibration since 2004. His focus areas are architectural and room acoustics, and noise and vibration control of mechanical systems. He is experienced with sound and vibration measurement procedures as well as well as computer modeling techniques for prediction of acoustics and noise. He holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of New Mexico and a B.M. in Cello Performance from the University of Arizona. Currently he is completing a Master of Engineering degree in Acoustics from Penn State University. Roman is a member of the Acoustical Society of America and the Institute of Noise Control Engineering.
